“You are gods!”

Subject: “You are gods!” November 2026 New Mexico Prayer Connect/COG, NM, El Paso TX & (SWIM) Southwest Indian Ministries Newsletter
Psalm 82:6 I said, “You are gods; indeed, all of you are sons of the Most High.”
7 “Nevertheless you will die like men and fall like any one of the princes.”
8 “Arise, O God, judge the earth! For to You belong all the nations (AMP).”
Most would try to skim over this portion of Holy Script and The Bible says that no ONE Scripture stands on its own interpretation, so Let Us confirm this Word, given by GOD and repeated by GOD in human flesh, The ONE Who only spoke what The Father told HIM to say and do, JESUS. Those in the Mormon church, presently known as ‘The Latter-Day Saints,’ a false religion, a cult, preaching what Paul The Apostle calls, “Another Jesus,” that would have some believe they will become gods and rule their own planets, I’m hoping to convince the born-again believers alive today, what GOD has done for those of us who believe in The Living Word, that became flesh and purchased a full redemption for humankind, for those who would choose to accept it.
The Reverend, Doctor, Billy Graham once said that the whole world was forgiven of their sin, upon The Cross Of JESUS CHRIST/Messiah/The Anointed ONE, when HE declared, “Father, Forgive Them, For They Know Not What They Do!” He went on to say that they just don’t know it yet, which is why we have to preach the whole council of GOD, the full Gospel Of The Kingdom, from Genesis to Revelation, rightfully dividing The Word Of Truth, with JESUS, as The Plumbline, The Center Piece, Who came when the fullness of time had come, to fulfill The Law and usher in The New & Better Covenant, at the point of HIS death, when HE shouted “It Is FINISHED!”
Known as ‘Theosis,’ (in theological circles) the incarnation, JESUS being fully man (The Son Of Man) & fully, The SON Of GOD, has made us ONE with HIM, according to HIS John 17 Prayer. Our Father, Abraham, even in the Old Testament/Covenant, took GOD at HIS WORD, he ‘believed GOD and it was credited to him, as Righteousness!’ Just think about the great men and women of faith in Hebrews 11, how The Bible says, ‘they are incomplete without us’ and that GOD ‘has greater things in store for us.’ Remember JESUS saying to HIS Disciples, “You Shall Do Greater Works Than These!” Yes, we were ‘Created In The Image & Likeness Of GOD,’ but the fall of Adam & Eve has all of creation groaning, for ‘The Sons Of GOD To Be Revealed,’ and that’s you and me. We won’t get into a major discussion about who ‘the sons of GOD’ are, but The WORD clearly tells us that, “Because You Are Sons, GOD Has Sent Forth The SPIRIT Of HIS SON Into Our Hearts, Crying, ‘ABBA, FATHER!’” Like Queen Esther, we are here, ‘For Such A Time, As This!’ How can these things be?
Psalm 82 was an open rebuke to those in spiritual leadership that GOD gave ‘All Power And Authority’ to, which is what every born-again follower of JESUS, Disciples Of CHRIST have today, but they were misusing and abusing it. The Bible tells us that ‘Judgement Begins At The House of GOD,’ so we see this in the Old Testament and New Testament Scriptures. Why?
Because The Book Of Hebrews tells us that JESUS CHRIST Is The Same, Yesterday, Today & Forever and James says that there’s no wavering, no shadow of darkness In HIM, because HE Is The Light Of The World, but for those of us who are In HIM, HE declares, “You Are The Light Of The World!” Not by our own doing, but because of what HE has done and the very fact (TRUTH) that we are In HIM and The Father Is In Us, not by our own might or power, but By HIS HOLY SPIRIT/Ghost/Ruach, we are here and now, ONE.
After declaring HIMSELF To Be “The Good Shepherd,” the following portion of HOLY Script offers up JESUS,’ then present rebuke of those in leadership that disagreed with HIM and let me just says, none of us will ever win that argument. HE does say, “Come, Let Us Reason (some translations say ‘argue’) Together,” but in this case, as in many others, the Scribes, Pharisees and Sadducees just aren’t going along for the ride. JESUS at one point tells them, “You Search The Scriptures Daily, But You Do Not See ME In Them.” Do we do the same, in any way, shape or form? Read and meditate on the following:
John 10:28 And I give them eternal life, and they will never, ever [by any means] perish; and no one will ever snatch them out of My hand. 29 [a] My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater and mightier than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. 30 I and the Father are One [in essence and nature].”
31 Again the Jews picked up stones to stone Him. 32 Jesus answered them, “I showed you many good works [and many acts of mercy] from the Father; for which of them are you stoning Me?” 33 The Jews answered Him, “We are not going to stone You for a good work, but for blasphemy, because You, a mere man, make Yourself out to be God.” 34 Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your Law, ‘I said, you are gods [human judges representing God, not divine beings]’? 35 If He [b] called them gods, men to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be undone or annulled or broken), 36 [if that is true] then do you say of Him whom the Father sanctified and set apart for Himself and sent into the world, ‘You are blaspheming,’ because I said, ‘I am the Son of God’? 37 If I do not do the works of My Father [that is, the miracles that only God could perform], then do not believe Me. 38 But if I am doing them, even if you do not believe Me or have faith in Me, [at least] believe the works [that I do—admit that they are the works of God], so that you may know and keep on knowing [clearly—without any doubt] that the Father is in Me, and I am in the Father [that is, I am One with Him] (AMP).”
John 10:29 One early MS reads What My Father has given Me is greater than all.
John 10:35 This statement in Ps 82:6 is addressed to the ruling judges of Israel, who were supposed to serve as God’s representatives on earth. Jesus’ argument (v 36) is that since He is in fact proving Himself to be the Father’s representative on earth, He is entitled to be recognized as the Son of God.
Are we not ‘sons Of GOD, Ambassadors For CHRIST?’ Being ONE with GOD does not make you or I equal with GOD, but being called a Christian does make you a ‘little Christ,’ fully anointed, empowered and enabled to, “GO & Do Likewise,” as JESUS commanded us, “JUST, As The Father Sent ME, SO I AM SENDING YOU!” The only way we can do this is by remaining, resting and continuing to abide In HIM, in order to bear good and lasting fruit for HIS Kingdom of Righteousness, Peace/SHALOM & JOY In The HOLY SPIRIT. We’re commanded to walk In The Light that’s been given us and that Light Is JESUS! Yes, we will all stand before The Judgement Seat Of CHRIST and those who are called to preach and teach will be held to a higher standard than most, but each of us are to preach The WORD/JESUS and do the work of evangelism, proclaiming The Good News Of The LIFE, Death & Resurrection Of The LORD! Each of us, as confessing born-again believers and followers/disciples of JESUS are individual members of HIS Body, The Church, The Bride Of CHRIST, not equal, but ONE with HIM, In SPIRIT & TRUTH, so take that for what it’s worth and come to the realization that each of us are living stones, being built up, into The Temple Of The ONE True GOD and it’s HE Who Calls us ‘gods,’ so do with that what you will, because we’re all going to give an account for what we did or did not do, according to HIS WORD, Will & WAY.
Never forget that in John 17 JESUS says, “Father, I Have Given Them ‘THE SAME GLORY’ That YOU Have Given ME.” This ONE-ness comes with a price that JESUS Paid In FULL for you and me, so we have much to live up to. Keep in mind that HE has prepared good works for each of us to do, before the foundations of this Earth were laid, so pray that HE gives us HIS Vision to accomplish such, because without it we perish. If you or someone you know would like to hold a prayer event or gathering, in or around New Mexico, do not hesitate to contact me.
