MOST, if not ALL of you have heard this question at one time or another asked, “Why do bad things happen to good people? It’s a humbling experience to realize that Our Heavenly Father, GOD, Creator of ALL Things, seen and unseen, Who Is GOOD All The Time, has quite a different view, since His Ways are NOT our ways. I encourage you to prayerfully read over the following portions of Holy Script and ask for the Gift of Repentance for our own thoughts, words and deeds. Pay close attention to the fact that both Old & New Covenants come together with Jesus, in three of the four Gospels + writings from His own brother, James.
Psalm 14:3 They have all turned aside; together they have become corrupt;
there is none who does good,
not even one (ESV).
Matt. 19: 17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? There is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.
Mark 10: 17 And as he was setting out on his journey, a man ran up and knelt before him and asked him, “Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?” 18 And Jesus said to him, “Why do you call me good? No one isgood except God alone.
And Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good except God alone.
NOW that we’ve been schooled in The Truth that NONE is Good, but God and JESUS IS GOD, according to John 1, let’s take an even closer look at what being NOT Good means for us from God’s vantagepoint.
Matthew 7: 11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?
Luke 11:13 So if you who are evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!
NOBODY wants to be called EVIL, especially by God, but thank goodness that His Mercies are New EVERY Morning and where sin abounds, His Holy Spirit GRACE Abounds, that Much MORE therefore! We MUST Enter His Gates with THANKSGIVING in our hearts & His Courts with PRAISE, because He Is Worthy, He Inhabits the Praises of His People and is Enthroned upon the Praises of Israel. What our enemy has meant for evil, God works ALL things together for our GOOD, for those who LOVE Him and are Called, according to His Plan & Purpose. He’s wishing that NONE would perish and that ALL would Come to Repentance. Paul The Apostle said this in Acts 17:30 “In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent.” You and I, EVERYONE In The Body Of Christ, have the FULL Time Ministry of Reconcilliation. As Ambassadors for Christ/Messiah and His Kingdom of Righteousness, Peace/Shalom & Joy In The Holy Ghost/Spirit, we must continually Pray, Ask, Seek & Knock, Turn from our wicked/evil ways, REPENT, Believe, Cling To, Trust In and Rely on ALL The Precious Promises Of God Being YES & AMEN In Him! Brothers & Sisters, apart from The Holy Spirit, Living, Moving and Having HIS Being In us & us Walking out our Salvation/Yeshua/Jesus by FAITH In Him, The Word Of God tells us, We Can Do NOTHING!
“Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows,” 1 Chronicles 16:11-12.
Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above; it comes down from the Father of lights [the Creator and Sustainer of the heavens], in whom there is no variation [no rising or setting] or shadow cast by His turning [for He is perfect and never changes].
JESUS Christ Is The Same, Yesterday, TODAY & Forever, so let us hold fast and hard to these truths expressed in The Bible. Light shines best in the darkness, YOU Are The Light Of The World, HE’s for us not against us, NO weapon formed against us shall prosper, EVERY Firey dart of the enemy will fall, when we hold up our shield of Faith, so in these dark and trying times, press in, look up, for our Redemption is drawing near, closer now, than when we first believed. He’s calling us to arise & shine, because the time is short, the fields are ripe for harvest, so Pray to The LORD, receive your marching orders and do your part, so we can ALL come into the FULLness of God, Jew, Gentile, male, female, slave & FREE Indeed, In Jesus’ Holy & Precious Name!
